COSMETIC AND HEALTH
Conventional topic treatments include the use of classical dermal formulations, such as creams, ointments, gels or lotions, whose delivery systems is generally unspecific and allow skin very low penetration. The major concerns in the usage of active principles or phyto-based cosmeceuticals are lower penetration and higher compound instability for various cosmetic products.
The technology of nanoparticles is an innovative system for sustained and enhanced penetration delivery of bioactive compounds in cosmeceutical sectors such as hair growth, skin health-enhancing, antioxidant and antiaging activity and antimicrobial action.
In fact the encapsulation of cosmetic active ingredient in biodegradable nanoparticles ensures greater absorption of the molecule and consequently a significantly increased efficacy. Thanks to their size nanoparticles penetrate more easily into the pores of the epidermis compared to the only free active ingredient; by heat and enzymes present on the skin, the subsequent degradation and release of the active ingredient is carried out.
